Tuesday, January 26, 2016. Thursday, December 24, 2015. Wet and windy it has been since November and the cod are thin on the ground , maybe 2016 will bring better fishing. I think it is time to bring back the inshore limit to allow fish areas to bread and have a safe haven. To everyone that reads this blog i hope 2016 brings lots of fish that fight back. It is not over yet. Apologies for the lack of updates. I plan to have some up tomorrow. I just wanted to throw a few words together in relation to this particular period with regards to my lure fishing in Wexford. It has been bloody tough, not to put too fine a point on it! In alle vroegte naar het strand, de eerste stek bleek na een uurtje of 3 helaas verlaten, 1 volger gezien en verder niets, viel me vies tegen eigenlijk, in deze periode moet het gewoon goed zijn en zeker met een zuidwesten wind. Zo af en toe kreeg ik de volle laag, zout water overal, waadpak en neopreen jas waren hier een must! Evengoed bleven de aalscholvers onverstoord door jag.
